Bark Peeler's Convention

July 1-2, 2017
The Bark Peelers’ Festival is a historical celebration of the wood hick and the traditional logging activities of Pennsylvania, held annually over the July 4th weekend. This signature event has been held at the Lumber Museum every summer since 1975. If you are planning a visit in advance and want to see the Lumber Museum at its best, this is the time to come! The site truly comes to life over the course of the two day program with contests, live demonstrations and an assortment of subject related vendors. It is also the only time during the year when we are able to operate our turn of the century sawmill.
